About Us

Our Philosophy – We believe in mindful and efficient use of money and resources. We wish to experience more of the world, live simply and minimise our environmental impact.  Many aspects of mainstream society contradict our philosophy. We value alternative lifestyles that encourage personal, active engagement with the world to create positive change.

NOMADS – a life of cheap/free travel  is an online community for sharing ideas & information on low-budget/moneyless/low-impact ways to sustainably live on the road.

It all began in August 2013 as a Facebook group, which is still very much the heart of the community today.

This is our blog-space where we will be publishing articles written by our members, for our members. This platform will host our articles, showcased via our Facebook page.

If you are interested in creating something for NOMADS, whether an article or video, please read our submission guidelines and get in touch.

  2. hey folks, i dig the blog/twitter and what you’re doing with the nomads gathering! i’d like to keep up with you a bit more, especially with the stories being posted here to the blog. might i suggest you install the email signup plugin that’s part of the wordpess jetpack suite? it let’s folks sign up to be notified via email when there’s a new post (which is generally easier than rss and all that). anyways, keep rockin!
